HEC Undergraduate Scholarships for Students of Balochistan and Erstwhile FATA 2024-25

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has announced undergraduate scholarships for the academic year 2024-25 under the project “Provision of Higher Education Opportunities for Students of Balochistan & Erstwhile FATA (Phase-III),” Batch-III. This scholarship offers a golden opportunity for outstanding students to continue their education in HEC-recognized public or private sector universities and degree-awarding institutions across the country.

 Eligibility Criteria for HEC Undergraduate Scholarships 2024-25

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Age Limit: Applicants must be 22 years old or younger as of the closing date of the advertisement.
2. Domicile Requirement: Both the applicant and their father must possess a valid domicile or local certificate of Balochistan or Erstwhile FATA, duly verified by the district administration.
3. Academic Qualifications: Applicants must have completed 12 years of education with at least 60% marks in FA, FSC, ICOM, ICS, DAE, or equivalent. Students awaiting results or already availing of any other HEC or government scholarship are not eligible to apply.
4. Qualification Date: Applicants must have acquired the necessary academic qualifications before the closing date of the advertisement.

Important Notes

Merit-Based Selection: Scholarships will be awarded based on merit and district quota.
Aptitude Test: Applicants will be shortlisted based on their scores in the aptitude test conducted by the Education Testing Council (ETC) – HEC, and their academic credentials will be evaluated. A minimum of 50% marks is required in the test.
Quota Distribution: The scholarship and reserved seats distribution ratio for applicants from Balochistan and Erstwhile FATA is 50:50.
Special Considerations: Reserved seats will be filled on open merit among selected scholars only. PM&DC eligibility criteria, regulations, and rules will apply. Those already enrolled in medical, dental, or engineering programs will not be considered for reserved seats but may still qualify for scholarships based on merit.
Additional Opportunities: Students already enrolled in general bachelor’s programs may also apply for the scholarship.

How to Apply for the HEC Scholarship?

Applicants must submit their applications online through the HEC website [here](http://hec.gov.pk/site/bf3). Here’s a quick guide to the application process:

1. Online Application: Submit the application online via the HEC portal. Upload attested copies of your CNIC, your father’s/guardian’s domicile, and your educational documents.
2. Test Fee Payment: Deposit a test fee of Rs. 500/- via 1Link 1Bill Invoice through participating banks, ATMs, Internet banking, or mobile banking. After paying, click “Verify Online Payment” on the application form.
3. Complete the Application: Ensure that your application is fully completed and submitted. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Once submitted, check for an acknowledgment to confirm the submission.
