The federal government has taken a significant step forward in modernizing education by converting 16 degree colleges in Islamabad into High-Impact IT Training Institutes. This revolutionary initiative brings together multiple stakeholders in Pakistan’s education sector, including the Federal Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, NUTECH, and Pakistan’s top universities – NUST, NUML, GIK, FAST, and COMSATS.
Cutting-Edge Course Offerings
The institutes have launched specialized courses ranging from three to six months in duration, focusing on three key areas of modern technology:

- Data Science
- Blockchain

In a video statement, Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, Secretary of Federal Education and Vocational Training, emphasized the global shift towards artificial intelligence. He highlighted how the country’s premier universities will be conducting these modern courses at these colleges, particularly targeting graduate students for specialized IT training.
Employment Opportunities and Eligibility
The program aims to enhance job prospects for graduates. Students eligible for enrollment include:
– BS graduates in Mathematics, Computer Sciences, and Statistics
– Current university students in their seventh semester of BS programs
